Community Guidelines

The heart of Sober Sisters — a few promises we make to each other to keep this sanctuary safe and supportive.

Lead with kindness

Treat every member with compassion and respect. We're all here to heal together.

Keep it confidential

What's shared here stays here. Never share another member's story, photos, or details outside this community.

Stay a safe space

No harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind. Everyone deserves to feel welcome.

Support, don't fix

Offer encouragement and lived experience rather than medical or professional advice.

Mind triggers

Add a gentle content note before sharing anything that could be sensitive or triggering.

No solicitation

This isn't a place for promotion, fundraising, or selling — it's a place for recovery.

Speak up

If something feels off, reach out. Protecting this space is something we do together.

When a guideline is broken

These promises only hold if they're backed by something real. Here's what happens when they aren't kept, so you know what to expect before you need it.

You can report anything

Every post, comment, story, and member profile has a report option. Reports go to our moderation team, not to the person you reported, and the person you reported is never told who raised it.

You can block without explaining

Blocking is immediate and private. Blocked members can't message you, and their content stops appearing in your feeds and the member directory. You don't owe anyone a reason.

Reports are reviewed by a person

Every report is read by a moderator who can see the content in context. We remove what breaks these guidelines and keep a record of the decision, so patterns are visible even when a single post looks minor.

Consequences are proportional

Most first problems are resolved by removing a post and saying what went wrong. Harassment, threats, sharing someone's private information, or repeated violations lead to suspension, and serious cases lead to permanent removal from the community.

together we rise

By joining Sober Sisters, you agree to honor these guidelines.
